Resolve Selangor MB Issue

KUALA LUMPUR: Rumours circulating of Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim stepping down as menteri besar has received mixed responses from Selangor residents.

Halijah Ibrahim, 58 said she does not see any candidates from PKR who are eligible for Selangor’s menteri besar post.

“We can see the clash in the party and I am looking forward for something new and fresh for the next term,” she said.

Ravi Chandaran, 48 said he would prefer for Khalid to remain in office as he has business and corporate background which will go well in managing the state.

“It’s a tough job and it’s takes a strong and knowledgeable person to manage the state.

“I personally don’t see many other candidates replacing Khalid Ibrahim. I choose candidates not party,” he said.

Customer services officer, Mohd Ridhwan Yusof said PKR should sit down and discuss further with their party members together on the issue.

“This political crisis should not become an issue if they manage a consensus,” he said.

Writer, Intan Idayu Isaruddin said Khalid should remain as MB as he already serve well to the Selangor’s people.

Hafizi Omar, 23 said in the last election, Selangor voters choose Khalid to be Selangor leaders and it should stay that way.

“From my opinion, people vote not for the party but for the leader himself,” he said.
