PUTRAJAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah has arrived at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel to visit next-of-kin of passengers on board the ill-fated Malaysia Airline (MAS) flight MH17.
The King arrived at the hotel at 10.28am, and was accompanied by the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah
Also present were Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Aziz Kaprawi, and Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim and her deputy Datin Chew Mei Fun.
Tuanku Abdul Halim and Tuanku Hajah Haminah were here to provide support to the grieving families.
The Boeing 777-200, MH17 aircraft, which was carrying 298 passengers, was en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam when it was brought down in eastern Ukraine on July 17.
