JOHOR BARU: A 30-year old man was bludgeoned to death after he was attacked by six men armed with steel rods in Taman Sentosa yesterday evening.
In the 5.30pm incident, six men armed with steel rods had suddenly attacked two men in front of a music store in Taman Sentosa and a fight broke out between them.
One of the victim died from severe bodily injuries after he received treatment at Sultanah Aminah Hospital.
The other victim, also a man in his 30s only suffered minor injuries from the attack and currently being treated at the same hospital.
Johor Baru Selatan district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sulaiman Salleh said the assailants had also stolen a BMW car belonging to one of the victims after the culprits fled from the fight.
"However we managed to made an arrest on two male suspects at 9pm last night to facilitate investigations," he said.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
