Pakistani found dead in Serdang

SERDANG: A Pakistani businessman was found dead in his rented apartment at Pangsapuri Bayu in Seri Kembangan, here last night.

The 9pm discovery was made by the victim's girlfriend who came to the house after he failed to answer her calls, since yesterday evening.

Serdang district police chief ACP Rozimi Ahmad said initial Investigation showed that the victim was strangled to death by someone he knew.

"There were no force entry into the house and his shirt was raised to cover the victim's face, probably during the attack," he told reporter when met at the scene.

He said initial investigations also revealed that some neighbours heard a scream from the victim's house at about 5.30pm.

"However, there were signs of a struggle in the house. We believe he died six hours before discovered by his girlfriend," he said.

Police are also looking for two men in their 20's to facilitate investigations.

Rozimi said the case is investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

He said police believe the motive for the incident was a misunderstanding related to some passport deals.
