Timepieces make debut at watch gallery

KUALA LUMPUR: More than 500 guests turned up at the launch of Time Kulture exhibition held at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur recently.

The watch display, organised by Swiss Watch Gallery, is on until Sunday.

The event, which is held at Centre Court Level 2 of the shopping mall, has a comprehensive collection of iconic brands such as Alpina, Frederique Constant, Longines, Oris, Maurice Lacroix, Tag Heuer, Tissot and Tudor.

The launch was officiated by Valiram Group executive director Ashvin Valiram.

Ashvin said the showcase was for those with a penchant for watches, which were worn either to complete one’s stylish attire ensemble, while climbing a mountain, or diving 30m under the sea.

“The versatility of this accessory has become essential in the lives of the discerning consumer.

“Time Kulture premieres the top picks from Basel 2014 — a leading trade event for the global watch and jewellery industry — providing a platform where consumers have access to timepieces making their debut here.

“Clients will enjoy a host of privileges and activities lined up for this showcase,” said Ashvin.

Guests will be able to go behind the scenes to see demonstrations on testing techniques and seek professional advice from retail personnel who attend international watch trade fairs and undergo regular training to ensure they are kept updated in the industry.

Among those present were Swiss Watch Gallery guests, watch enthusiasts, socialites and members of the media.
