Decomposed body found with hands tied at the back

SHAH ALAM: A decomposed body of a man with his hands tied behind his back was found dumped in a landfill at Jalan Sungai Jati, Klang, today.

Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah said police were alerted by the public at about 8.50am.

"The body was found lying face down on top of the other trashes in the landfill which was situated about 100 metres from the main road.

"Based on the condition of the body which was already decomposing and covered in dirt. We believe that the victim has been dead for a few days," he said.

Adnan said police were still in the midst of establishing the identity of the man.

"As of now, we cannot confirm whether the victim is a Malaysian man or foreigner," he said.

It was learnt that the man clad in dark coloured t-shirt and jeans was in his 20s.

Adnan said the body was sent for post-mortem to find out the cause of death and the case was being investigated for murder.

He urged those who have information on the victim to come forward and contact South Klang police station.
