KUALA LUMPUR: A slight drizzle did not stop Malaysians from thronging Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman here for the Chow Kit 2.0 concert.
Thousands of people filled chairs and every corner of the usually busy road to watch the concert and the countdown to Merdeka tonight.
The concert, held for the second consecutive night, was in conjunction with Merdeka and in memory of a hugely successful solo concert by the late Sudirman Arshad in 1986.
Among the artistes performing tonight include Asmida, Shiha AF and Lim Kok Wing choir.
A similar concert will be held again tomorrow night.
