KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah began their six-day state visit to China today to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations.
During their stay, their majesties would be visiting Beijing and the city of Hangzhou which is located in Zhejiang province.
Tuanku Abdul Halim and Tuanku Hajah Haminah are scheduled to meet China President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan while in Beijing and attend a state banquet in honour of the King and Queen.
Their majesties were accompanied by Education Minister II Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh as minister in attendance, senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Istana Negara and the Prime Minister’s Department.
