KEMAMAN: A couple was killed while their two children were seriously injured in a head-on collision at Km140 Jalan Kuala Terengganu-Kuantan here today.
Ahmad Shukri Abd Wahab and his wife, Nor Asmalia Wahab, both 34, were on their way to send their children to a nursery at Jalan Jakar 3 here before going to work when the accident occurred at 7.50am.
Terengganu Fire and Rescue Department operation centre officer Mohd Hasbullah Halipah said the couple’s children aged three and five, and the driver of another car were seriously injured.
He said the car driven by a male foreigner allegedly lost control and veered into the path of the couple’s car.
Both Ahmad Shukri and Nor Asmalia were pinned to their seats while their children were thrown off the car, he said, adding that passers-by came to their aid before they were sent to the hospital--BERNAMA
