New websites can help foster dialogue, says Najib

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has called on Malaysians to explore and get involved in the revamped websites, www.1Malaysia.com.my and NajibRazak.com.

In a blog post yesterday, he said previous posts, photos and videos that were hosted on www. 1Malaysia.com.my could now be found at www.NajibRazak.com.

“I will continue to update you on my work as your prime minister, the chairman of Barisan Nasional, president of Umno (United Malays National Organisation) and member of parliament for Pekan at www.NajibRazak.com,” Najib posted.

“Soon, I will be going to China to attend the Apec (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) 2014 conference. I will also be going to the Asean conference in Myanmar, as Malaysia makes the final preparations to take over the reins of the Asean chairmanship in 2015.”

Najib said the updated www.1Malaysia.com.my was an interactive website that encouraged all Malaysians to take part in a dialogue on national unity and nation-building.

“I also hope to host more engagement activities with the online community, whether here on my website, or in person.”

Najib ended the post by expressing his intention to continue on his nation-building journey.

“Since I became prime minister, we have made significant strides in growing our economy and improving the wellbeing of all Malaysians. There is much work to be done if we are to become a high-income nation by 2020. Committed as one, we can achieve our goals.”

Najib also took to Twitter to extend his condolences to the families of two more MH17 victims who were brought home yesterday.

“Today we bring home two more victims of #MH17. My prayers are with their families in these trying times.”
