OVER at TV3, tune in to Nenek Ranggi at 9.30am. Starring Lufya Omar, Maria Farida, Shukri Yahaya and Maya Ruslee, this telemovie is about Azita, a successful wedding planner and a single mother. Azita feels that her reputation is in jeopardy when her 20-year-old daughter, Dalina, announces that she is getting married. This could mean that Azita could be a grandmother soon. Yam Bechok, Azita’s assistant, makes matters worse by saying that the marriage will be bad for her business.
In Malaysia Hari Ini: Khas Hari Malaysia, at 7am, the hosts take viewers to Miri, Sarawak for the Malaysia Day celebration. And then at noon, catch Wanita Hari Ini: Khas Hari Malaysia, which will highlight the achievements of personalities from various fields in Sabah and Sarawak.
Next, Jalur comes on at 2pm. It’s about three friends Haji Budin, Taukeh Wong and Rajoo who share a strong friendship despite their different backgrounds. What bonds them together is the fact that they were all born on Aug 31, 1957. But things change when one of their friends begins spreading rumours about them. This telemovie stars Zamarul Hisham, Fizz Fairuz, Noorkhiriah, Fazlina Ahmad Daud, Zaryn Minn and James Lee.
Lastly, Kereta Kami comes on at 10pm. Amran has been coming home late for the past six months. His wife, Jas, suspects he is having an affair with Azizah. However, it appears that Amran has been busy repairing an old Proton Saga that was left in the workshop. Jas cannot understand why her husband is working hard and spending all their money on this old car.
Amran tells her the reason: The red Proton Saga was bought by Amran’s father when it was first launched. When his father brought the car home, it was the pride of Amran’s dad until it was sold to finance Amran’s university education. Amran promised his father that he would return the car to him.
