UPSR leak: Members of special committee named

KUALA LUMPUR: Members of the independent special committee to look into the UPSR leak were named today by the Ministry of Education.

Second Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh in a statement today listed out the committee members who comprised a multitude of professionals.

Below is the list of the members selected:

Chairman:

Former Chief Justice Tun Zaki Azmi

Committee members:

- Malaysian Institute of Integrity president Datuk Dr Mohd Tap Salleh

- Former Deputy Education Director-General Datuk Dr. Asariah Mior Shaharuddin

- Former Universiti kebangsaan Malaysia Vice-Chancellor Tan Sri Prof Dr Shaarifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin

- Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission chairman Datuk Mohamed Sharil Mohamed Tarmizi

- Chief Government Security Office

Director-General Datuk Johari Jamaluddin

- CyberSecurity Malaysia chief executive officer Dr Amirudin Abdul Wahab

- Former Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Tan Sri K. Kumaran

- Cuepacs secretary-general and National Union of Teaching Profession general secretary Lok Yim Pheng

Idris said the members are high profiled individuals, experienced and experts in various fields including law, education, teaching, cyber security, multimedia, communication and security.

He reiterated that this independent body would study the management of UPSR examinations and would give suggestions on its improvisation.
