TASEK GELUGOR: A 34-year-old man was shot dead during a prayer ritual at his home in Kampung Selamat here last night.
In the 11pm incident, Lee Wooi Shong was shot at by an unidentified man who had appeared as one of the observers of the ceremony.
The man later, pulled out his gun and shot Lee and his friend at point blank, seriously injuring him.
Lee's friend, whose identity has yet to be known, later succumbed to gunshot wounds at the Kepala Batas Hospital.
North Seberang Prai district police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rahman Ibrahim said the case will be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
