SEREMBAN: A double-storey shophouse selling stationery, reading materials and printing equipment in Jalan Rasah Jaya, here was destroyed in a fire early this morning.
Operations Officer of the Seremban Fire and Rescue Station Razali Abd Kadir said a team of 11 personnel together with two engines were rushed to the scene as soon as an emergency call on the incident was received at 3.53am.
“Upon arrival at the scene at 3.57am, we found that the fire had spread up to 80 per cent which was believed to have started from the ground floor. We took 10 minutes to control the fire from spreading to the other buildings and the fire was extinguished completely within 22 minutes,” he told Bernama here today.
He said there was no loss of life reported and the cause of the incident and total losses were being investigated. – BERNAMA
