SEREMBAN: A row of nine food stalls situated in front of Teluk Kemang square, Port Dickson, near here, was engulfed in flames last night.
Teluk Kemang Fire and Rescue Station operations chief Mohd Kamal Mohd Timar said a team of firefighters promptly responded to the incident after receiving the alert at 7.16pm.
"All nine wooden stalls, each measuring 10 by 10 square feet, were consumed by the fire, with four of them completely destroyed and the remaining five sustaining 25 per cent damage.
"Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire and assess the losses incurred," he said in a statement.
Mohd Kamal Mohd Timar added that firefighters are currently engaged in overhaul operations at the site. -- Bernama
