BUKIT MERTAJAM: A 43-year-old man has been remanded a week beginning today to assist in investigation to the murder of his girlfriend in Kampung Datuk Keramat in Juru on Tuesday.
The man, which was detained at 4.45pm in Kulim, Kedah yesterday was brought to the Bukit Mertajam Magistrate's Court to obtain a remand order.
Magistrate Nurzafirah Mohamed Ali granted the remand order for a week from today.
On Tuesday, police made a gruesome discovery when they found the remains of a woman, believed to have been chopped up before her body parts were burnt in Kampung Datuk Keramat, Juru.
