TELUK INTAN: Police detained a man and seized more than one kilogramme of drugs in a raid at an oil palm plantation in Hutan Melintang near here yesterday.
Hilir Perak district police chief ACP Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the 37-year-old suspect, a labourer at the plantation, attempted to flee when police wanted to conduct a search a him.
Police found 20 transparent packets, believed to contain heroin and syabu on him, he told reporters here today.
He said the suspect, who had no previous record, would be in remand for seven days to facilitate police investigation on the case. - BERNAMA
