Bike concours is back

KUALA LUMPUR: The All Bikes Concours is back with the theme “Bikers Without Borders”.

Concours organising chairman and chief judge Alex Foo said the concours, which was a part of the New Straits Times’ Autoshow would be held at Matrade Exhibition and Convention Centre in Jalan Duta here on Nov 16.

Foo said the annual event was organised by NST’s Cars, Bikes, and Trucks section, a weekly pullout published in the New Sunday Times.

Foo said there would be 5 categories of bikes contested this year: Custom, Classic British, Vespa or Scooter, Modern Classics, Japanese and Retro (1950-1990, below 500cc and above 500cc), as well as Cafe Racer.

He said the event was open to all makes and models as it was the only concours grade motorcycle showcase for classic and retro bikes in the country.

He said early birds needed to pay RM20 before Nov 9 and registrants on the event day would have to pay RM30. Participants will receive a goodie bag that includes a meal voucher and a T-shirt.
