KLANG: A jobless man was charged at the magistrate's court today with the murder of a soldier within a flat compound two weeks ago.
Tee Hock Keong, 47, and another two persons still at large, allegedly murdered army lance corporal Hazry Siddek, 30, at Jalan Batu Nilam 34, near a flat block at Bukit Tinggi 2 here, around 2.45am on Oct 12.
Tee nodded understanding when the charge was read to him in Mandarin by an interpreter today. No plea was recorded.
He faces the death penalty if convicted under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Magistrate Ahmad Feisal Mohd Azmi denied bail and fixed Dec 1 for mention.
Deputy public prosecutor Mahmoodah Ab Latif prosecuted while Tee was unrepresented.
