BUTTERWORTH: A Toyota Vios was partially burned after it caught fire from a burning motorcycle set ablaze by a man in Taman Emas here early today.
The suspect, in his 50s, had broken into the porch of a single-storey-terrace house where the Toyota and another car were parked in the 3.30am incident.
Before setting his motorcycle on fire, the suspect believed to be known to the house owner, smashed the windscreens and windows of the other car and the glass door of the house.
He then set his machine on fire and flames later caught onto the boot of the Toyota.
The commotion woke up the house owner and several neighbours.
Police later arrived and found the suspect, believed to be mentally disturbed, lying on the floor with minor burns.
Police have also recorded the statement from the house owner who was unharmed in the incident.
