SETIU: A 28-year-old trader was killed after a Perodua MyVi he was travelling in skidded before landing into a monsoon drain near Kampung Bintang, here, early today.
The victim, Samsu Mohammad of Bandar Permaisuri, was heading towards Kota Baru from Kuala Terengganu in the 5.50am incident at KM82.8 Jalan Kuala Terengganu-Kota Baru, near here.
District police chief, Deputy Superintendent Abdul Rahman Raja Mohammad said Samsu's vehicle skidded and rammed into the electric pole before landing into the monsoon drain.
Abdul Rahman the body was sent to the Setiu Hospital for a post-mortem.
The case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act 1987.
