KUALA LIPIS: Four members of a family were killed after the car they were travelling in crashed into an express bus at Km8 Jalan Kuala Lipis-Merapoh near Kampung Kubang Rusa here early today.
The 2.30am mishap killed Perodua Myvi driver Ahmad Nor Sallahuddin Ahmad Zamberi, 29, his wife Azian Ismail, 32, and their two children - Ahmad Abinubli Ahmad Nor Salluhuddin, 3, and one-year-old Airis Auta Ahmad Nor Sallahuddin.
District police chief Superintendent Abdul Razak Hassan said initial investigations revealed that Ahmad Nor Sallahuddin lost control of the wheel resulting the vehicle to veer into the opposite lane and crash into the oncoming express bus.
He said the bus driver, his assistant and 47 passengers travelling from Kelantan to Kuala Lumpur escaped unhurt.
