GEORGETOWN: A woman was killed after she was run over by her neighbour during a quarrel at Desa Intan flats, Bandar Baru here this morning.
Lee Seok Pheng, 47, died at Penang Hospital due to severe injuries.
The victim and her husband spotted their neighbour throwing rubbish nearby at 1am and told him not to do so.
Enraged by that, the suspect who was in his car, rammed into the victim.
Timur Laut district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the suspect tried to escape but was chased by neighbours who witnessed the incident.
"He was cornered and surrendered to police," said Mior Faridalathrash.
