GEORGE TOWN: A 34-year-old security guard was found dead in his rented room in the inner city last night.
The victim who stayed alone in the room has been identified as Daya Shankar from Nepal.
Both his hands were bound, with his body hung on the wall in the shophouse at Jalan Sri Bahari.
The landlord sensed something amiss after Daya failed to answer his mobile phone. He then prised open the foreigner's room and spotted the victim at about 8pm.

Initial investigations showed that Daya had no bodily injuries.
His body was brought to Hospital Pulau Pinang for a post-mortem today.
Northeast district police chief Mior Farid Al Athrash Wahid said the post mortem done yesterday had ruled out any foul play.
