TELUK INTAN: A 54-year-old pump house worker was found dead in a three- metre deep monsoon drain at Ladang Sungai Erong Ulu Bernam here this morning.
T Rajendran's body was found at 7.15am by estate workers some 1.5km from where he fell.
Hutan Melintang Fire and Rescue Department chief Tuan Soh Tuan Lah said the victim was believed to have fallen into the drain as his motorcycle was found next to the drain.
The victim's disappearance was only realised after estate workers found the pump house unlocked on Friday evening.
"We called off search operations at 3am today due to rain and was supposed to resume the operation this morning," he said, adding that the department started search operations at 9pm last night.
