PETALING JAYA: IN the spirit of Christmas, the culinary team at Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa is planning a lavish buffet spread from Dec 15 to 23.

 Guests can look forward to seasonal treats such as roasts at the Countdown Feast to Christmas buffet at the hotel’s restaurant Fuzion.

 Sous chef Ahmad Zauhudi Mustafa said some of the classics are duck ballotine with cranberry jelly, roasted potato wedges, asparagus and grilled zucchini, chicken ballotine with chestnut stuffing and braised green cabbage with young carrots.

“We also have lamb shank stew with rosemary — tender marinated lamb meat served with meat sauce accented with fresh herbs, as well as a tender slice of the roasted sirloin with herbs, mustard crust and Yorkshire pudding.

 “If diners are looking for variety, they should try sauteed sea bass with Porcini mushrooms and white asparagus.”

For dessert, diners can choose from a variety of delectable treats, inspired by the candy cane.

 “Guests should sample the red macaroon tower, strawberry
yule log cake, winter wonderland cake and tiramisu with strawberries.

 “Three mouth-watering chocolate fountains in red, white and dark chocolate will be available with choices of fresh fruits and marshmallow at our candy wonderland corner,” Ahmad said.

 The buffet lunch is priced at RM85++ per adult and dinner is priced at RM110++, while children aged 6 to 12 year old get a 50 per cent discount.

  Also on offer are the 12 Drinks of Christmas, featuring a combination of six cocktails and mocktails. The cocktails are Sazzy Rina, Classic Christmas Mulled Wine, Christmas Cosmo, Frosty’s Sparkling Martini, Winter Wonderland and Santarita.

The mocktails are Holiday Punch, Mrs Claus’ Mulled Apple, The Elves’ Hot Cocoa, Red Rudolph, Winter Cooler and Berry Merry Christmas.

 The drinks are priced at RM30++ per cocktail and RM20++ per mocktail, and are available at Fuzion and The Lobby Lounge until Dec 25.
