Murder cases of Myanmar national linked to revenge

GEORGE TOWN: Revenge is the main reason for a number of mysterious killings involving Myanmar nationals in Penang, State police chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi said today.

He said checks showed that most of the victims were killed by their fellow Myanmar citizens who had come here to avenge a crime committed in their home country.

"We have arrested 15 Myanmar nationals over a number of mysterious killings in the state.

"Checks showed they were involved in some of the killings and revenge was the motive for their actions," he told reporters here.
