SUBANG: A Myanmar national was killed and a 58-year old local was injured after being involved in a collision between two lorries on Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang here today.
According to a statement from the Selangor fire and rescue department, the department received an emergency call regarding the incident at 4.05pm.
Seven firemen from the Puchong fire station rushed to the scene upon receiving the report.
Upon arrival, the firemen found an accident involving two lorries, one five-tonne lorry carrying a load of ice and another lorry carrying a roro bin.
Two victims, a local man aged 58 years and the Myanmar national in his twenties, were trapped in the lorry carrying the ice.
The 58-year old suffered minor injuries and was successfully extricated by firemen while the Myanmar national was confirmed dead at the scene.
Firemen are working to remove the victim's body from the wreckage.
