Harimau Malaya supporters laud online sales for AFF Cup final tickets

BUKIT JALIL: Supporters of Harimau Malaya have welcomed Football Association of Malaysia's decision to sell tickets for AFF Cup Final online.

This has reduced the crowd who thronged the stadium to redeem their tickets this morning.

Only a handful of supporters were seen lining up to collect their tickets although 27,000 tickets have been sold online.

Supporters have until the match day on Saturday to collect their tickets.

Telco system analyst, Abdul Karim Mohd, 27, said he has had bad experience of purchasing tickets previously for AFF soccer match in 2012.

"The waiting line to buy the tickets was very long and I had to wait for hours.

"I am very happy that FAM has finally taken the initiative to sell tickets online," he told New Straits Times.

Abdul Karim who bought 13 tickets hoped the Harimau Malaya players would play their best as how they have played in the match in Hanoi last week.

Another supporter, Ivan Cheow, 32, said he was very excited to watch the game live at the stadium this Saturday.

"This is going to be my first time watching the match live at the stadium as I have been watching it on television before this.

"Malaysia Boleh, I think we can win this match!," he said confidently.
