KUALA LUMPUR: MMC Gamuda KVMRT has announced disruptions to traffic due to MRT construction work in Jalan Cheras, Jalan Sungai Buloh/Jalan Kuala Selangor and Persiaran Surian.
A traffic diversion will be in effect in Jalan Cheras, near Sungai Merbau, from Saturday to Dec 26, from 11pm to 5am daily, for the launching of the segmental box girder for the MRT Guideway.
During this period, the temporary steel bridge at Sungai Merbau will be closed to traffic. Motorists will be diverted to the bridge in Sungai Merbau.
The medium-term night lane closure continue at the slip road from Jalan Hospital to the traffic light in Jalan Sungai Buloh (Subang-bound)/Jalan Kuala Selangor (Kepong-bound) from Sunday to Jan 10, from 12.30am to 6am daily.
During the closure, motorists from Jalan Hospital heading towards Kepong taking the flyover will be diverted to make a U-turn at The Store, Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh, to go back to Jalan Kuala Selangor.
Motorists from Jalan Hospital going towards Subang will also be diverted to make a U-turn at The Store and another U-turn at Damansara Damai to go to Jalan Kuala Selangor (Kuala Selangor-bound) and exit at the slip road to Jalan Sungai Buloh (Subang-bound).
There will be a continuation of the two medium-term night road closures in Persiaran Surian in front of Pelangi Damansara (Kota Damansara-bound), Mutiara Homes (LDP Highway-bound), and at the underpass (KD-bound). The two road closures will not happen at the same time.
Closure A from Monday to Jan 31 occurs on the 500m stretch in front of Pelangi Damansara to the traffic light junction in Jalan PJU 3/31.
Closure B from Dec 26 to Jan 31 involves a full road closure for a stretch of 360m from Surian Condo to the Jalan PJU 7/1 junction near Mutiara Damansara Residences (LDP Highway-bound) and the closure of Surian Underpass (Sungai Buloh-bound)
Motorists on PJU 7/1 exiting into Persiaran Surian will not be affected.
