KUANTAN: Flood situation in the state-capital worsened this evening, with more than 800 people evacuated from their homes.
The number of victims rose to 831 from 200 families at 6pm compared to 620 from 145 families which was reported earlier today.
A spokesman said the water level at Sungai Kuantan in Kuantan Bypass recorded 3.78meter (danger level) while Sungai Pahang in Jerantut and Pekan has surpassed the alert level.
