KUALA LUMPUR: Prasarana Malaysia Bhd announced a road closure and traffic diversion at Persiaran Jengka to facilitate the construction of Station 5 of the Kelana Jaya light rail transit (LRT) extension project.
Persiaran Jengka south-bound starting from the ingress to Jalan SS15/4E will be closed and motorists will be diverted to use Persiaran Jengka north-bound and exit at a designated point to continue their destination along Persiaran Jengka or to the New Pantai Expressway (NPE).
This closure is in effect until Jan 31.
Traffic from the NPE will be diverted to use Jalan SS17/2 and will re-enter Persiaran Jengka at a designated exit point.
The road closure and diversions are necessary for the safety of motorists as the work involves heavy machinery and lifting of materials.
Besides road barriers to divert the traffic, flagmen and early warning signs are displayed to alert motorists of road closures and diversions.
Prasarana would like to remind motorists to exercise caution and to adhere to advance warning signs when travelling in these areas during the construction period.
