GEORGE TOWN: A 40-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a car rammed into him in a head-on collision here today.
Thean Yim Foong, was thrown off his machine at the winding Jalan Tun Sardon in the 2pm accident.
The victim was on his way to Paya Terubong from Balik Pulau.
The car's driver, a 30-year-old woman from Alor Setar, Kedah who was traveling in the opposite lane, had apparently lost control of her vehicle and swerved from its path to collide with Thean's motorcycle.
Thean, from Paya Terubong died on-the-spot.
Traffic flow in the was reduced to a snail pace following the accident.
His body was sent to Penang Hospital for a post mortem.
