KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Rakyat is giving a moratorium on financing facility to customers in flood-stricken states with immediate effect.
Managing director and president Datuk Mustafha Abd Razak said the assistance included deferment of installment for up to six months and withholding of all recovery and litigation actions for outstanding accounts.
“We hope the relief package will help ease the financial burden of clients during this difficult time .”
He said the moratorium would be offered on a case-by-case basis upon application by the affected customers.
Affected customers are advised to check on the bank’s website and branches in flood-stricken areas on the relief package or call up its call centre at 1-300-88-12265 for assistance. Bernama
