KUALA TERENGGANU: The numbers of flood victims decreased slightly to 35,641 people in four districts even though the number of relief centres was increased to 99 as of 8am today.
Yesterday, they were a total of 35,804 victims seeking shelter in 94 relief centres.
According to State Wefare Department portal, Kemaman registered the highest number of evacuees with 25,028 flood victims seeking shelter at 50 relief centres. This was followed by Dungun with 35 relief centres housing to 8,731 victims.
In Kuala Terengganu, 1,247 victims were moved to nine relief centres, while in Hulu Terengganu 635 victims were evacuated to five centres.
This morning Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman is scheduled to visit flood victims in Kuala Terengganu and Dungun.
