SANDAKAN: A major integrated operation coordinated by Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) at the city here this morning saw 315 individuals detained for not possessing identity documents.
Out of the number, 130 offenders were held at the district Temporary Detention Centre for eviction process by the Immigration Department, while three others are remanded for drugs abuse and the rest were let off after they were able to provide documents for identity validation.
State secretary Tan Sri Sukarti Wakiman said the one-day exercise from 4am involved various federal and state government agencies led by Esscom.
