Injured policemen in helicopter crash in stable condition

KOTA BARU: One of the four crew members of the police helicopter which crashed in Tanah Merah yesterday has been discharged from hospital.

Lance corporal Arhafidah Zakaria, 27, who suffered minor injuries in the crash received outpatient treatment at Tanah Merah hospital before she was allowed to return home.

The other crew members were identified as pilot Assistant Superintendent Amirul Adli Ahmad, 34; co-pilot Assistant Superintendent Hasli Hassan, 36; and sergeant major Mohd Hood Abd Majid, 43.

In the 6.45pm crash, Amirul Adli fractured his pelvic bone and injuries to his abdomen, Hasli suffered injuries to his chest while Hood fractured his left leg.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Mazlan Lazim said Amirul Adli and Hasli were warded at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Kerian here while Hood was treated at Tanah Merah Hospital.

"The three are all in a stable condition," he said.
