MH370: Welfare of next-of-kin remains top priority, says Liow

KUALA LUMPUR: The welfare of the next-of-kin of those onboard the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is the government's top priority.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the government will give its undivided support to the next-of-kin in this difficult time.

"The government of Malaysia and China will also ensure that MAS fulfills its obligations to the next-of-kin," said Liow after speaking at a seminar on Chinese primary education at the Wisma MCA, here.

Liow also pledged that the search for the plane will go on, with no expense spared.

"It will continue for however long it takes, there is no time limit," he said.

The MCA president said Malaysia, China and Australia had committed to increase their efforts to find the plane.

"We will need to devise a more comprehensive plan,” he said, adding that the announcement on MH370's accident yesterday was to help the next-of-kin move on with life.
