Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Mahendra Gursahani as the managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) for Malaysia, effective immediately.
He takes over from Osman Morad, who has retired.
Osman was Standard Chartered Malaysia MD and CEO for five years.
In a statement, the banking group said that Mahendra will report to Lim Cheng Teck, who is Standard Chartered Bank CEO, ASEAN.
