TAIPING: A 65-year-old man died after he was believed to have fallen into a 1.5m deep well in his house, near here.
The victim's remains were pulled out with the help of firemen from the Taiping fire and rescue station here this morning.
A spokesman from the department said they received a call from a volunteer police unit about 11.30am today, asking for help to lift up the victim's remains inside the well at his house in Kampung Baru Simpang.
"The man, whose identity is not immediately known, is believed to have died for 24 hours.
"We used a rope to pull him up and handed him over to the police for further action," he added.
