KUALA LUMPUR: Four flat units at Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang here was razed in a 4.30pm blaze earlier today.
The incident at City Tower Apartment building also saw three other units partially damaged.
City Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Abu Obaidat Mohamad said they received a call on the incident at 4.54pm, before 69 firemen with 12 fire engines were despatched to the scene.
He said the incident involved six units at the flat's fourth floor, and one unit on the third floor.
"Among the fire engines despatched were three water tankers, as the firemen faced difficulties to control the blaze due to low water pressure.
"We managed to control the fire at 6.52pm, before putting it out at 7.30pm."
He said the fire is believed to have started at an empty unit at the fourth floor.
The department's Forensics Unit is investigating the incident to find the cause of fire.
