Advertising boards obstructing view

MOTORISTS heading towards Subang Airport via the Federal Highway from Petaling Jaya will be driving up a ramp before taking a right bend into Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang.

Going by the numerous tyre marks left on the road, several collisions may have occurred at this bend and countless near-misses.

Driving on this flyover used to be safe until tall advertising boards were placed at the side of the railing.

If these structures were placed at the outer side of the bend, it would have blocked only the scenery, but alas, they were placed at the inner side and obstruct the view of the road ahead.

Many motorists have had to swerve or brake hard when a slow or stationary vehicle suddenly appears in front of them.

The local authorities should not have allowed advertising boards to be taller than the railings.

The Road Safety Department should engage with the relevant government agencies to make our roads safer.
