Johor set aside RM3mil for Bumi incubation scheme in Pengerang

KOTA TINGGI: The Johor state government has allocated RM3 million for an initiative to produce 40 Bumiputera business incubators over the next two years in Pengerang.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said when launching the scheme at Pulai Desaru Beach and Resort Spa yesterday the incubators could identify and nurture Bumiputera entrepreneurs keen to run a business in two to three years’ time.

They will be provided small office spaces grouped together on a 0.405 ha. piece of land in Pengerang, he said after presenting certificates to 20 Bumiputera entrepreneurs and receiving a RM1 million contribution from Perisind Samudra Sdn Bhd.

Mohamed Khaled said the state’s vibrant small and medium enterprise (SME) sector is capable of supporting entrepreneurial and managerial development.
