EcoWorld opens international property gallery in Singapore

Located on St Martin’s drive, the EcoWorld Gallery@Singapore will showcase EcoWorld projects in Malaysia and overseas.

Currently, the group has 15 projects located in three key economic regions in Malaysia namely the Klang Valley, Iskandar Malaysia and Penang.

Through its associates, EcoWorld will also launch its first project in London by end-May and another in Sydney before the year-end.

“The group is excited at the opportunity of having a presence in Singapore as EcoWorld has already established a strong footing in Iskandar Malaysia with three residential developments and three business parks,” EcoWorld Chairman Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin said after the opening of the gallery by Malaysian High Commissioner to Singapore Datuk Husni Zai Yaacob.

He said, eventually EcoWorld hoped to become a developer in Singapore, but not as yet “until the price (of properties) comes down.

“Hopefully as we go along, we will have the opportunity to invest in Singapore with our friends or joint venture or partake on our own in any development in the republic,” he said, adding that the gallery was purely to showcase Malaysian, London and Australian projects.

EcoWorld President and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Chang Khim Wah noted that the establishment of the gallery was a natural choice considering the city state’s importance as a global economic and financial hub, its proximity to and close business ties with Malaysia.

He added that since the launch of EcoWorld’s first project - Eco Botanic at Nusajaya, Iskandar Malaysia in 2013, the group has amassed 2,098 hectares of land in the central, southern and nothern regions of Peninsular Malaysia.

Within Iskandar Malaysia, EcoWorld has grown very quickly with the launch of two townships which are Eco Botanic and Eco Spring/Summer and a green business park called Eco Business Park 1.

He said the group would launch a project each in Iskandar Malaysia namely Eco Tropics and Eco Business Park III, both in Pasir Gudang corridor and has planned for a Eco Business Park in the Senai corridor.
