Azmin urges DAP and Pas to stop bickering

SHAH ALAM: DAP and Pas have been asked to stop fighting and challenging each other in the media as it does not bring good to the country and the people.

PKR deputy president Azmin Ali said his party saw no problem being mediator between the two parties and it was only wise for the pact to discuss the dispute which he described must be resolved immediately.

He said the attacks between DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and Pas' president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang should halt and both have to respect each other.

"There is a problem and we can solve it on the discussion table. So lets go back to the drawing board and discuss it as soon as possible," said Azmin at the state secretariat building here today.

A date for the meeting has yet to fixed as a consensus for a mutual date was needed from all three party presidents in the coalition, added Azmin.

Hadi had reportedly said that his party was ready to cut ties with DAP as its leadership, especially Lim, had done overboard with its insolence and unacceptable behaviour.

He added that if DAP wants to leave the coalition, it should do so.

Hadi also took a shot at Lim's shadow cabinet announcement, describing it as ‘syok sendiri’ and had forgotten that Muslims dominate politics in the country, adding that the prime minister and deputy posts must be Malay Muslims.
