Malaysian embassy in Kathmandu resumes operation

KATHMANDU: The Malaysian Embassy in Kathmandu has resumed full-fledged operation from today after the office was shifted to a new location at Sanepa of Lalitpur last week.

According to a notice of the Malaysian Embassy here, the embassy had resumed full-fledged operation from its new location from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

“Yes we have resumed full-fledged work,” Charge d’Affair of the Malaysian Embassy in Kathmandu, Fadli Adilah told Bernama.

The Embassy had suspended its operation for some days as the building that housed the embassy office was badly damaged by the April 25 earthquake and declared unsafe.

However, it resumed partial or limited operation after a few days only to issue social visas.

In the notice, the embassy said the people could submit applications for social or student visas between 9am and 11am and collect visa between 2pm and 4pm from Monday to Friday.

Similarly, those seeking employment visas are required to submit their applications between 10am to 12noon and collect them between 3pm to 4pm from Monday to Friday.
