SEREMBAN: A Form Five student from Sekolah Menengah Teknik Tuanku Jaafar has died from multiple organ failure, believed to be from leptospirosis diseases, contracted from a Berhulu Camp, Hutan Lipur Serting Ulu, Jempol.
Health Ministry deputy director general (Public Health) Datuk Dr Lokman Hakim Sulaiman in a statement said the victim died on May 29 from multiple organ failure.
“The patient showed symptoms of fever, joint pain, muscle aches, cough and nausea began on May 21.
“He received treatment at a clinic on May 25 before being transferred to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital intensive care unit.
“Clinical samples were taken and had sent to laboratory and is awaiting the result,” he said in the statement.
