YAN: A family in Kampung Hutan Gelam here was left homeless after their home caught fire at around 5pm today.
Yan Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Ismail Zahari said an emergency call was received at 5pm.
He said officers rushed to the scene 15 minutes later and managed to put out the fire.
"We managed to control the fire five minutes later but unfortunately the house were already 70 per cent damaged by that time.
"There are however no casualties reported," he said.
