KOTA TINGGI: Three people were killed when a Ford Fiesta was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry at KM42.2 of the Johor Baru-Mersing road, here, around 5am today.
The victims were Rohayu Abas, 29, Suhaime Abd Rahman Abdullah, 30, and Rokiah Abu Bakar, 52, from Kampung Baru Sri Aman, here. The three were in the car and were killed instantly during the crash.
The lorry driver, a 23-year-old man sustained injury and was sent to the Kota Tinggi hospital for treatment.
A police source said the initial checks showed that the car had entered into the opposite lane, and was involved in a crash with the on-coming lorry.
