KUALA LUMPUR: A temporary lane closure and traffic diversions at Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) of Putrajaya-Shah Alam bound will commence from 11pm to 5 am daily from tomorrow until July 15.
Prasarana Malaysia Bhd (Prasarana) said the closure of the lane from KM23.9 until KM24.6 of Putrajaya-Shah Alam and the ramp towards Putrajaya was to accommodate the launching works of the Segmental Box Girder (SBG) for Pier 234 of the Ampang LRT Line Extension Project.
Prasarana in a statement today indicated a contra flow would be implemented during the period for the Putrajaya-Shah Alam bound traffic in order to help ease congestions.
This road closure is to ensure the safety of motorists within the area as the works would involve the utilization of heavy machinery and lifting of materials.
“Road barriers and flagmen will be put in place to redirect traffic while warning signals will be displayed to alert motorists of the road closure and diversions,” according to the statement.
As such, Prasarana reminds all motorists to exercise caution and to adhere to advanced warning signs when travelling in the area.--BERNAMA
